    Are They Out There?

Diving for Answers In a Sea of Cover-Ups

UFO’s, or Unidentified Flying Objects along with the innate desire to know more about the unknown, has lead the world of science and many people who are simply interested in the unexplained things in life to investigate, enquire ad dig deeper than the surface publicity, particularly when it comes to UFO sightings.

Gene P Abel is highly qualified man, who during his time in the Military service became fascinated by an UFO incident that occurred in 1947 at Roswell, Mexico and the many sighting that may have occurred prior to and since that time.

Now retired, he has put his thoughts and findings into a most informative and fascinating look at UFOS, and the paranoid secrecy surrounding anything to do with UFO’s that is legendary within the government of the United States of America.

Are They Out There offers an educated understanding of what occurred, not only at Roswell but a number of other sites, the fear, possibly exacerbated by media and government driven PR, that the USA was about to be invaded by Aliens and the possibility that they, whoever they are, were interested in a number of the secretive nuclear sites within America.

The big question posed over the course of the book is that there have been many documented sightings of UFO’s in the night skies, a situation which has been occurring for a very long time, without at this time, any indication these people are desirous of doing harm. That this can or could happen, may be a real possibility is also discussed.

Stunning photographs illustrate salient points under discussion, detailed references populate the end of every chapter. Appendix A and B make enlightening reading and add yet another layer to the already intriguing complexity of Are They Out There.

Well documented and researched, the purpose of this book is to encourage likeminded people to investigate further, to become interested in the many facets of Scientific knowledge, to question, observe and begin to understand what is out in the Universe that we as humans simply do not yet understand.

One would have to concur after reading the book and with the evidence presented, that Yes, they are out there, but the other aspect that needs to be considered is, are they there to keep us in! As they say these days ‘just saying’!

    Aliens & UFOs : A Young Person’s Guide

There are many “Young person’s guide to…” books available now. This is a terrific series to introduce subjects which are not diluted by stories, but just involve facts, theories and speculation. The book on cannibalism should be popular. This book focusses on Aliens and UFOs in an organized and linked manner.

The first chapter poses the question,” Is anybody out there?” The following information is provided in a dot point format which makes it easy to follow. It is made clear which points are facts and which are theories. Again, the author makes the facts clear, and suggests that the numbers mentioned mean there is a chance that other planets have evolved life forms.

A discussion follows about actual sightings or close encounters which have been reported. Not surprisingly, pilots are among the people most likely to report strange objects from a distance, and close encounters can come in many forms. In World War 2, a squadron of B29 bombers was flying towards Japan when the co-pilot noticed a strange craft. It was also spotted by other planes in the formation, and it was reported.

Many countries have files on aliens and it seems the “Greys” are the most common kind. Their physical features show that they spend most of their time in spacecraft or indoors. Possibly Greys communicate using telepathy, so they don’t need a large mouth. Another thing is they don’t appear to have sexes. That is, they are androgynous. Fascinating!

Along with the multitude of facts presented in this book, examples of drawings of aliens are copied from rock art in the Kimberley Ranges. There are helpful charts for the would- be Astrophysicist, such as an “Alien Hunter’s Field Kit,” and a check sheet to see if you have been abducted by Aliens.

This is a book that can be read at any chapter and the reader can appreciate the sheer volume of facts (and theories) presented. The drawings support the text beautifully and blend in with the black and white format. This is a great fun, and almost, reference book to mull over.

    Invasion

As always with spoofs, especially black comedy, there is an element of truth and reality combined in the story line and in this case, and bearing in mind this book would have been written sometime before the final polling of the last US elections, it makes you wonder just what line of thought and reason Luke Rhinehart is plugged into when he creates his storyline; you could almost consider this one and a prediction of things to come.

If so, the work of fiction is well worth considering in another perspective, of perhaps there really are some amongst us who have other ideas in mind, are definitely concerned about the destructive pathway we as humans are traveling and want to do something about the entire mess.

But onward: When Billy Morton sets out to go fishing it is simply for a day out on the water and maybe to catch a fish or so, but unfortunately for Billy he catches something so completely unexpected, it changes not only his life, but that of his wife and children.

‘Louie’ lands in his boat, but where he has come from is unimaginable and to make matters worse Louie decides to follow him home. What Bill does not realise is Louie is here for a long time to come, and has adopted Bill Morton’s family as a good place to be, while he takes a bit of a look about this planet Earth, and have some fun while doing so.

Louie is only one of the many ‘aliens’ who have decided that they needed to come to earth and have a little ‘fun’ with the earthlings.  The trouble is their intellect is so much more superior than those on Earth and what they consider is simply a little bit of fun with computers, politics and anything else that takes their fancy, the FBI consider to be terrorist activities.

Unfortunately for Billy and his family, along with Louie and his friends, they soon find themselves in serious trouble with the US Government and the FBI. What has started out to be a bit of fun to get the population of America to take a look at what they are doing looks like turning into full scale war.

Entertaining, intriguing and based soundly in today’s very real world, there is much to enjoy, reflect upon and chuckle over, as you come face to face with some very weird friends of Billy’s, who really do have a very serious point to make in regard to politics, environment and world powers.

This is only book one in what looks to be like a very, very interesting series, so look out for the next episode to find out just what does happen next!.
