Crikey and Cat are off on an adventure when they go out one night and realise all the stars are gone from the sky, so they set out to try and find just where they have gone.
They go to the hardware to by bits to build an ladder so they can climb high into the sky and put some of the stars back, but eventually realise there is nothing much they can do, as the stars seem to have gone again completely and the night is getting very dark and stormy.
This is a very delicate tale about what happens when a big storm comes and where the best place to be safe is until the stars can come out again.
Big, bold beautiful illustrations make the work, with a few words added to keep the reader on track with the story, creating a wonderfully visual book for sharing and encouraging children to add their own words to create their version of what they are seeing on the pages.
In the immortal words of Cat, ‘Nice’!
